Chu Wai Tak (Anita Mui) is a timid and shy office lady who is often ignored by her co-workers. She has a secret talent in singing but is a nervous wreck when singing in front of others, to the point of not being able to utter a sound. When she found herself being entered into a singing competition, she looks for help from King (Dayo Wong), the company’s lazy office assistant who is very confident of his singing skills and even calls himself the “King of K Songs”. King agrees to help only for selfish benefits but found that Chu’s level of timidness is even worse than he thought. 公司女白领朱维德(梅艷芳)为人胆小怕事，每日最大的人生目标就是节省那一角几毛。这样的人在公司 的人缘可说是糟糕透顶。与维德正好相反的是公司的办公室助理阿 King(黄子华)，他自信心爆炸，对 自己的演唱水平十分满意，自称“K 歌之王”。一次，维德遭到同事们恶整，莫名其妙的竟然在一个歌 唱比赛中进入了决赛。但是胆小的她天生便不敢再众人面前献唱，在人前唱歌她会异常紧张，以至喉咙 肌肉抽搐不能发声。为了不要在决赛中出丑，维德找到了阿 King，希望他能帮助自己解决问题。维德 答应了给阿 King 好处，他才愿意帮忙，然而，她胆小的程度却远远超出了阿 King 的想象。
